VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

Volunteering for the Birnbeck Regeneration Trust is a chance to be part of one of Weston-super-Mare’s most important heritage and community projects. Birnbeck Pier is a much-loved landmark, full of history, memories and future potential. By volunteering, you can help protect its story, support its restoration journey and play a part in creating a positive future for the pier and the wider community.

There are many ways to get involved, whatever your skills or availability. Volunteers can help in the Birnbeck Hub, welcoming visitors, sharing information, selling merchandise, supporting fundraising and encouraging people to learn more about the Trust. Others may enjoy helping with guided walks, talks, events, school visits, displays, research, photography, social media or collecting local memories.

There are also practical opportunities, including helping with stock, setting up events, supporting community activities, maintaining displays, and assisting with fundraising projects such as Plaque on a Plank.

Volunteers are also needed at The LooVre Community Arts Centre, home to Birnbeck Precious Plastics. Opportunities include helping with art exhibitions, creative workshops, plastic sorting, environmental activities, visitor welcome, displays and community events.

Whether you can give a little time or a lot, your support can make a real difference.
